I met Margarita Isupova in summer of 2016. A NISE Girl. Actually she's the founder of a language school called Now I Speak English (NISE). We spent a few days together and had such fun times. Here's a hint:

Meeting Stefaniya's parents was a bit nerve-racking. Luckily her mother liked my photography and she was having her 45th birthday, so I had an excuse to bring my camera and hide behind it. One still after another turned into this video at Colicchio & Sons, one of my favorite restaurants while living in Chelsea. Unfortunately after 10 years, they closed, but chef Tom Colicchio was kind enough to follow me to Financial District with his new restaurant Fowler and Wells, so we are still neighbors. Between english and russian, we had a great dinner, to the sounds of Natasha's favorite band, Gus Gus.
Gotta love russians.
For a while, my neighbor was Katya Lee. A gorgeous russian artist I had seen once at a friend's birthday years ago. We met, I mentioned we should shoot something, she liked the idea, we became "friends" and started shooting a lot together. Here's Big Brother again. and a video of her eating a salad. We were very close for a while.

"I'm gonna work a bit now. Yoga at 17.00, home again @ 18.30. How about I cook a carbonara at our place?. We love to have you over :-)"
In 2015 I traveled to Stockholm, among other things, to clean my lungs from the nasty New York City air and met this outstanding character, who saved me from two dragons who were flying over my head, fighting for my soul!.......... We became instant friends.
His name is Nima Koucheki, a brilliant man of many trades. Aside from preparing such great food (that I took a break from my mostly vegan diet), he's working constantly on his books, podcast, and he's a machine for new ideas. We had long hour conversations, never diverting to check his phone, truely engaged and grateful to exchange thoughts, no matter how simple or complex they got.
I came back to Södermalm to meet his lovely wife to be: Stina Stjärnström, an amazing architect who deserves a post of her own.
Spending a week in the company of great couples like them, can inspire anyone to love.
